Edward Klaeger IV

Founder, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Klaeger brings 28 years of experience in corporate finance and asset management in capital markets in the U.S. and Europe with 14 years project development and finance in clean renewable energy and biofuels production in Europe and emerging economies in Eastern Europe.  Mr. Klaeger studied Finance and Economics at the Stephens School of Business.

In addition to his extensive background in finance and international capital markets Mr. Klaeger brings a unique set of skills to Fiberlab including Project Management oversight, market strategy, marketing, financial modelling, business plan strategy, development, and writing and Power Point Presentations.  Mr. Klaeger is an accomplished public speaker with strong presentation skills.

Tanner Shaw

Chief Technology Officer

Tanner Shaw, PE, LEED AP is the Chief Engineer at Fiberlab responsible for the design, construction and operations of the Fiberlab facilities.  Mr. Shaw received his BS in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer – Mechanical (Nevada).  Mr. Shaw has design, construction and operations experience through multiple sectors focusing primarily on mechanical, process design and controls.  Prior to coming to Fiberlab, Mr. Shaw recently managed the commissioning, startup and operations of a 24 million gallon per year ethanol plant with on-site anaerobic digestion biogas facility.

Mr. Shaw’s experience in engineering, construction, and project management provides a unique skill set to manage the engineering, design, and operations of Fiberlab’s vision of build-own-operate business model.

Jon Queen

Vice President

Mr. Queen has more than 20 years of investment banking, financial and corporate advisory experience. He holds a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from the Kyiv School of Economics and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Cornell University. Mr. Queen began his career at John Hancock Financial Services in 1997, later moving to Latham & Watkins LLP where he helped underwrite several billion dollars of debt and equity structured deals. He left Latham & Watkins to begin trading commodities in Hong Kong for the International Environmental Trading Group, a subsidiary of the Japanese investment bank Capital Partners Securities, and later the Anemone Group, a joint venture partner with the world’s largest oil and gas trading company Vitol SA. During the latter years of the Kyoto Protocol, Mr. Queen became one of the most active secondary market traders for carbon credits worldwide. From 2010 until 2017, Mr. Queen served in leadership roles at leading Central European investment banks.

Mr. Queen’s skillset combination of financial modeling and analysis, business strategy, investor relations, legal draftsmanship, and project due diligence helps to further strengthen Fiberlab’s tactical development, investment, and growth decisions.

Dr. John Massingill

Patent owner and inventor

Prior to becoming involved with Fiberlab Dr. Massingill previously worked in the petrochemicals division of Dow Chemical for 25 years.  Now retired and working as a private consultant Dr. Massingill is the Founder and CEO of Chemtor, L.P. and Advanced Materials and Processing L.P.  Dr. Massingill is the patent owner and inventor for the Fiber Reactor™ technology in the Fields of bio-oil and biodiesel.  Dr. Massingill holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Texas Christian University and heads the Fiberlab scientific research team.

Adam Brunell

Senior Lab Technician

Adam Brunell is the Senior Laboratory Technician at Fiberlab who manages and performs the production of high quality cannabinoid products through extraction, distillation, and crystallization processes. After spending time in an industrial hemp facility in Colorado and in the medical device quality control department of Johnson & Johnson in California, Adam understands what truly drives the rapidly growing cannabis industry from an industrial, scientific, and quality standpoint. Adam has conducted research at the federally funded National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) on organic solar cell photovoltaics and has performed rigorous testing procedures on medical devices at Johnson & Johnson, under the strict regulations of the Food and Drug Administration. Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from UCLA and a Master of Science in chemistry with an emphasis in physical chemistry from CU Boulder.

Bobby Malone

Robert “Bobby” Malone is an expert on the Cannabis plant as well as Cannabinoids and their medicinal benefits. Prior to working at Fiberlab Bobby moved to Colorado in 2014 to get involved in the Cannabis Industry for business opportunities and personal health reasons. Bobby has previously worked as a representative for the National Cannabis Chamber of Commerce and is currently the Fiberlab DTLA Operations Manager.
